    Zoom!® Teeth Whitening

Zoom! Tooth whitening, or tooth bleaching is a very common and routine procedure in cosmetic dentistry. The procedure surged in popularity after dramatic results were shown to the masses on ABC’s hit television program, “Extreme Makeover.” Most people agree that bright white teeth are the most attractive characteristic of a beautiful smile. As we age, our teeth are broken down and can become stained due to factors such as: bacteria, food and tobacco. These agents are constantly wearing on the enamel (or first layer of dental tissue that surrounds the tooth). Zoom! Tooth Whitening is noted for its ability to penetrate the enamel and dentin of the tooth while simultaneously bleaching. The Zoom! Tooth Whitening process produces immediate gratification, as patients walk out of The Smile and Implant Center an hour after the procedure with teeth up to 8 shades whiter than before.     Crowns and Bridges

If a tooth is broken or very decayed, a crown is made and placed over that tooth so it looks and functions just like your original tooth.

A bridge is a bunch of crowns bridging gaps or spaces in your smile or bite making you look better and eat better.

Most crowns that The Smile and Implant Center uses consist of a precious metal (a % of gold, platinum, palladium, etc) substructure with porcelain covering the metal so that they are very strong and look fantastic. All the work is performed and produced in our office and dental lab so we can control the entire process from beginning to end. You the patient benefit the most by getting the best material, customized craftsmanship by true artisans and a quick turnaround time.

While the crown and bridgework is being produced in our lab, you will be wearing beautiful temporary crowns and bridges so that at no time do you leave the office “naked” so to speak. The temporary bridge serves as a blueprint of what the final results may look like or what corrections may be needed. In effect we are architectural engineers so you not only look great but that it will last a long time.

    How long does it take?

Depending on the amount of crowns or work necessary, we leave enough time that the numbing and drilling process occurs only once at the first appointment. The impression is taken and the work is sent to out lab for processing. You always leave with a temporary and a smile.

On the subsequent visit we will remove the temporary crown or bridge, and then fit and adjust the final porcelain work. Finally, we will cement the work into place only after you are completely satisfied and you have a new beautiful looking smile. With our own on premises dental lab, we can almost always create the smile you want and expect.
